Gjensidige defended its market shares and achie- ved record high customer satisfaction in 2016. Good and efficient operations contributed to another strong result.
Gjensidige together with Trygg Trafikk was declared winner of the CSR and Innovation categories for the "Stay focused"-campaign at the Digital Communication Awards 2016 in Berlin.
Gjensidige’s general insurance customers in Norway received customer dividend for the seventh consecutive year. The Gjensidige Foundation paid NOK 1.95 billion in dividend. That equals 13.5 per cent of premiums paid from Norwegian customers the preceding year.
Robot handles toutine tasks
For the first time Gjensidige put a robot in charge of handling routine tasks. The robot answers questions from other insurance companies about our customers’ bonus on motor Insurance.
Sports sponsorship of the year
Gjensidige was named Sports sponsor of the year 2016 by the Norwegian Sponsoring and Event Association.
Record-high customer satisfaction
Customer satisfaction continued to improve in 2016 also, reaching the highest level since the survey was introduced in 2009. Customers who had a claim or were in touch with us for other reasons were the most satisfied.
200 years celebration
In 2016, it was 200 years since the first fire mutual in the Gjensidige family was established. The occation was celebrated in arrangements in Denmark, Norway and Sweden.
We launched an insurance that combines traditional health insurance with innovative ways of preventing health problems.
Acquisition in Sweden
Gjensidige acquired the swedish general insurance portfolio from Vardia Insurance Group.
Operations in Baltics integrated
The former PZU Lietuva business was integrated with Gjensidige’s other operations in the Baltics.
Gjensidige launched an insurance to help companies minimize damages from a data breach.
